I’m 13 and I’ve been skiing in Les Menuires with my family for five years now. I learned in the beginner zones and was able to ski by myself after just a few lessons with the pros. Les 3 Vallées is now my favourite place for snowsports. It’s great – the boardercross zones are fun and easy. I love the family park in Courchevel and the Eskimo run in Méribel. I have to say my favourite run is the Plan du Bouquet – it’s hidden in Les Menuires’ ski area and it’s really nice. I love the new Bouquetin run at the top of La Masse – its’ really cool and I can do a 3 Vallées selfie up there.
My dream is to ride on a heated pink chairlift!
I like to go to a different ski resort every year for a change of scene and landscape. This year, I’m breaking my own rule and coming back to Les 3 Vallées – I was blown away by how amazing the resort was last winter. Given the altitude, I know the snow will be good, and the runs are really well managed. This year I’m trying out the Premium Pass to get the most out of the après-ski activities. We’ll be going for it at the sports centre and hitting the toboggan run in Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
I come to Les Menuires a lot – it’s only two and a half hours from Lyon. I often come on a Saturday – I pick up online deals on the menuires.ski mini website. Depending on the weather, on a Saturday I load a promotional Les Menuires or 3 Vallées pass onto my card and head straight for the slopes. I have my favourite runs all to myself, well almost. My favourite place? It’s a secret. OK, I’ll give you a clue - the safe off-piste liberty ride zones are great in Courchevel and Les Menuires and pretty amazing in Saint Martin.
We visit Les Menuires regularly and have invested in an apartment in the Brelin building. We’ve come skiing here for almost 20 years because Les 3 Vallées ski area is incomparable. There are so many advantages that make it stand out - it boasts a huge, beautiful ski area that’s maintained to an excellent standard, offering remarkable comfort and an atmosphere we love. We chose to sign up for the 3 Vallées Liberty card to enjoy the flexibility of à la carte skiing with online benefits. It’s a really excellent deal for regular skiers like us, who ski between 9 and 21 days - it suits us down to the ground.
Falling head over heels with Les 3 Vallées villages.
We discovered the village of Saint Martin de Belleville with friends in the winter of 2013. It’s a very peaceful, authentic and well-connected village in the amazing Les 3 Vallées ski area. It’s so easy to get to Méribel and Les 3 Vallées’ amazing little destinations, so we decided to buy a cosy little apartment in the village. We love the simple, honest atmosphere and the typically “French” shopkeepers.
It’s such fun. We love every aspect of it.
I skied a lot when I was younger, but after a few accidents, scrapes and bruises, I now enjoy the mountains in a different way. I go up to Les 3 Vallées summits on groomed runs and sometimes also venture onto untouched snow. I can easily meet up with my friends at slopeside restaurants. I love going out on my snow hikes.
