When the mountains became Olympic
In the 1920s, winter sports were experiencing a real boom. Skiing, figure skating, ice hockey, bobsleigh… Winter disciplines were attracting more and more athletes and spectators from around the world.
In 1924, a new chapter in sporting history was written with the very first edition of the Winter Olympic Games. For several days, athletes from different countries came together to compete in a range of disciplines, surrounded by snow-covered mountains.
