Did you know that our lifts may close if a storm is detected nearby?
Storms are quite common in summer. They are often short-lived but should not be underestimated. To ensure the safety of users, ski lift staff regularly monitor weather conditions.
This allows them to pre-empt storms and possible lift closures. Our users are invited to shelter in safety at the top or bottom of the lift and wait until the storm has passed or subsided.
Closing a ski lift is a well-considered decision, with the safety of users paramount.
It is important to check the lift timetable to make sure you can get back down or make the last ascent.
If you are taking the Saint-Martin Express chairlift back down to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, make sure you get the lift 15 minutes before it closes, to ensure you still have time to take the Saint-Martin 1 gondola lift.
